“I created you to be a light. As a light, you can carry my presence with you wherever you go at all times. The light that I have gifted you with will shine what’s in your heart. 

   I have gifted you with impact. This light that you are, easily impacts other hearts, especially when filled with joy from me, your Father. 

   Along with this light and impact, I have created you as a leader and I want you to press into this gifting. I want to teach you to lead well. This is what I have equipped you with in all the right ways so I don’t want you to be afraid.

   People are drawn to light over darkness, meaning they want to listen to you. You have so much influence. You are a leader in all sorts of ways.” 

          -your Heavenly Father 

   This is what the Lord answered when I asked, “what have you uniquely gifted me to be in the kingdom?”

 

On the race, I learned in depth on mission, intimacy, and community and the Lord has been recreating my identity to be more purposeful. From the ground up, He has been recreating me. I am being sanctified and set apart to be remade into the real me, which will forever be an ongoing process. 

   Recently, the Lord has clearly given me His plans for this year. I was accepted to be a part of CGA, Center for Global Action. This is a leadership / discipleship program led by Adventures in Missions. In October, I will be moving to Gainesville, GA for five months. This program is a time of more refinement of what I’ve learned on the race and more. I will be taught more in depth on leading and discipling well, while living that out in outreach. This program includes Bible discipline, a community of believers to walk alongside and learn with, and will help give me tools to engage with this world so desperate of a savior. I hope to be able to possibly lead a trip after, and learn what is ahead for me.

   This is a piece of my sanctification process, becoming who I am made to be. The Lord has called me to a life of discipleship and this is my next step in learning to do it well.
